Storage
Look, as much as I love meal prepping cause I am always short on time, I don’t recommend storing your smoothies! That is because smoothies lose their benefits and texture when exposed to air. Drinking your smoothies fresh out of the blender is the best way to get all of nutrition.
With that being said, you can store your smoothies for up to 24 hours but only if you use a bottle with a lid that you can close tightly. You also want to leave room for expansion at the top of the bottle as well. Another great way to store smoothies is by making smoothie cubes in the freezer, just make sure your ice tray has a lid.
Variations
There are soo many ways to spice up a smoothie, you can add in spices, nuts, seeds, veggies, nut butter, protein powder etc.. for most of my smoothies, go with simple ingredients like chia or flax seeds because they have a ton of healthy fats, protein and fiber. I also love the taste of cashews and almonds in my smoothies as well.
