Storage

I always recommend drinking your smoothies right away after blending them. You get way more benefits when they are fresh out of the blender. Storing them changes the texture and taste, however, you can still store them for up to 24 hour in the fridge and still get some benefits.

When storing, pour the smoothie into a glass bottle and leave room at the top for expansion. Close tightly and store in the fridge. You can also freeze your smoothie into cube, for this I recommend using a silicone mold with a lid so that it is easier to extract and reduce exposure.

Variations

You can add spinach, kale, and other leafy green veggies to this smoothie. I also throw in some nuts and seeds when I want to add more protein and healthy fats to my smoothies. The ones I like the most are cashews, almonds, and chia seeds. Feel free to throw in some protein powder or nut butter for more protein intake.
