Do Soups Help Reduce Inflammation?

Well, it really depends on the ingredients in the soup. For example, soups that contain ingredients like tomatoes, kale, spinach, cabbage, and broccoli, can help reduce inflammation.

It’s also important that you reduce your sodium intake so make sure that you are using low-sodium homemade chicken stock or chicken broth for your soups.

You can also try adding a variety of fatty fish like mackerel, trout, salmon, sardines, and tuna to your soups and diet. That’s because they contain a ton of omega-3 fatty acids which have been shown to reduce inflammation.

So I’ve been diagnosed with rheumatism which is inflammation of the joints, muscles, and bones. I have no idea why I have it because no one in my family does. Anyway, here’s what helps me cope with the constant pain naturally.

  • I eat a low-calorie diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and protein
  • I go for 1 hour walks 4-5 times per week
  • I try to get enough sleep even though its nearly impossible with 4 kids
  • I drink 8 glasses of water daily
  • I have been losing weight since forever
  • I drink turmeric and ginger tea daily
  • And finally, I try to get vitamin D from natural sunlight daily.
