This salad dressing is a vegan recipe that is made with avocado, cilantro, lemon or lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and a little jalapeno. The avocado is the main ingredient that gives the dressing its rich flavor and creaminess.

The maple syrup gives the dressing a touch of sweetness while the lemon juice brings in a pop of sourness. Both give this dressing a kind of sweet and sour flavor.

Finally, I the cilantro and jalapeno add a little spice and a mix of lemon, peppery and pungent taste!

Ingredients for 4 servings | Total Time: 5 minutes

  • 1 ripe avocado (peeled & cored)
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of olive or avocado oil
  • 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of maple syrup
  • a dash of black pepper
  • a dash of salt
  • ½ cup of fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/2 jalapeño pepper (chopped & optional)

How To Make This Avocado Salad Dressing

Add all of the ingredients above into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Use as much as you want in your salad right away.

To store your avocado salad dressing, pour it in a tightly sealed container and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
